About Me!
Hi! My name is Kiana! You may know me on social media as Kiana'sCookies, but you may also know me as KianaDecorates!
I started decorating cookies at 13 years old as something fun my family and I would do during the holidays. After graduating high school, I took over my mom's small cookie business and have been doing cookies ever since! I've worked in two bakeries, but have mostly done orders from my own home, as I do now!
In 2021, I began to post videos on social media and have amassed a following of kind people who enjoy watching me decorate cookies. Social media has helped me grow my business and reach people beyond my community, and for that I'm grateful!
I look forward to continuing to share my cookies, whether through orders or my videos!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you have a storefront?
A: Nope! Kiana's Cookies is a home bakery that operates under the Texas Cottage Food Laws. My products contain/may come in contact with eggs, wheat, and/or nut products. The food is made in a kitchen that is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.
Q: Where are you located?
A: I am located in Katy, Texas near Pitts Road and Morton Road.
Q: How do I get a spot on your calendar for a cookie order?
A: Once the details of your order have been discussed, I will send an invoice to your e-mail. Your order will not be placed on my calendar until a deposit of at least 50% is paid. Your spot will remain open and available to be filled by other orders until payment is received, so I recommend paying your deposit as soon as you can.
Your deposit must be paid no later than 11:59 PM 14 days before the pick-up date, and the amount must be paid in full no later than 11:59 PM 7 days before the pick-up date; otherwise, the order will be canceled and your deposit will not be refunded. (Ex: If your pick-up date is the 15th of the month, your deposit is due by 11:59 PM on the 1st and any remaining balance will need to be paid in full by 11:59 PM on the 8th.)
Cookie details can take several days to work out and must be finalized before an invoice can be sent and a deposit can be paid. Please keep that in mind when submitting an order form.
Q: How long will it take you to get back to me after I place a custom cookie order form?
A: I will get back to you as quickly as possible, but it can take up to 3 business days!
Q: Will I get a refund if I cancel my custom cookie order?
A: You will be refunded 100% of your money if your cancellation is received by 11:59 PM 7 days before your pick-up date. If your cancellation is received after 11:59 PM 7 days before your pick-up date, your deposit will not be refunded. (Ex: If your pick-up date is the 15th of the month, your order cancelation must be sent before 11:59 PM on the 8th to receive a refund.)
Q: Do you take short-notice custom cookie orders?
A: It depends! A short-notice order is an order placed with less than 14 days notice before the pick-up date. If I can accept the order, there will be a fee of 30% added to your order and then you will have 24 hours to pay your total in full.
Q: How do I get the pick-up address?
A: The day before pick-up, I will send an e-mail with the exact pick-up address.
Q: What time can I pick up my cookie order?
A: When placing your order, you can pick a time between 12:00 PM (noon) and 6:00 PM. If you need an earlier or later time, please ask as soon as possible to see if it is something that I can accommodate. I ask that you please be on time for your chosen pick-up time.
Q: Do you ship cookies?
A: Nope, sorry! I am unable to ship under the Texas Cottage Food Laws.
Q: Do you deliver cookies?
A: No, not at this time!
Q: What is the processing time for cookie-cutter orders?
A: Orders currently take 1-3 business days to process, but the time may vary depending on the time of the year. Please note that processing time and shipping time are different!
Q: How do I clean my cookie cutters?
A: Wash your cookie cutters with warm water and soap. They are not dishwasher safe as hot water will cause the cutter to warp and lose its shape.
